The Campanile sent out Parent Ad information to senior parents in February. If you have yet to receive this information, or would like an electronic copy, please click the links below to download PDFs of our:

Graduation is quickly approaching, and we would like to offer you the opportunity to create a parent ad for your graduate in this year’s Campanile, the undergraduate yearbook for Rice University. This is a great and lasting way to let your graduate know just how proud you are!

HOW MUCH DOES A PARENT AD COST?

Ads can be purchased in four different sizes (see “Ad Sizes, Dimensions, and Prices”), ranging from $62.50 to $500. This price includes a full color ad (unless otherwise requested) and design services provided by our staff.

WHEN IS THE PARENT AD DUE?

We ask that all parent ads be submitted by Friday, April 6, 2012.

WHAT SHOULD I INCLUDE IN MY AD?

Most ads consist of photos and personal messages. Please keep in mind the size of your ad when deciding what to include. Many people like to include quotes, characters and art in the ad. Please note that we cannot print any text or images that are copyright protected. It is up to you to ensure that copyright rules are followed, and if we have doubts about the copyright protection of anything in your ad, we reserve the right not to print it. We will email you a proof of the ad we have designed for your approval before it is published.

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY AD?

You may submit physical photos or artwork by mail to the address at the bottom of the page. Be sure to include your submission form and a check for payment. If you send artwork or photos via postal mail and would like them returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Otherwise, we cannot return materials. The preferred method is email submission. You may submit your student’s full name, your pictures, and a message for your ad by email to yearbook@rice.edu. Digital files should be in JPG, TIFF, or PDF format with a resolution of 300 dpi. Please submit your check and ad submission form by postal mail if you use email submission.

HOW ELSE CAN MY SENIOR BE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK?

Seniors have two other opportunities to be included in the yearbook. The Campanile offers graduating seniors a Senior Card, which is a small piece of free ad space to memorialize their Rice experience. Additionally, graduating seniors also have the opportunity to submit a Senior Portrait for inclusion in the Senior Section of the yearbook. All senior deadlines are on Friday, April 6, 2012. More details can be found at the links above.

WHEN DOES THE BOOK COME OUT?

The 2012 Campanile will be published and delivered in Fall 2012. Since many graduates will no longer be at Rice to pick up their yearbook in the fall, your graduate has the opportunity to sign up for free shipping of their 2012 Campanile to a permanent address. They may sign up for this opportunity by filling out this form. The deadline for this offer is also Friday, April 6, 2012. Graduates who do not sign up for shipping can pick up their 2012 yearbooks in the fall, or they can visit our Order a Campanile page for details about our shipping fees after the books have arrived.

HOW CAN MY GRADUATE GET THEIR YEARBOOKS?

Note that your graduate should pick up their yearbooks from their freshman, sophomore, and junior years before leaving Rice by visiting the Office of Student Media or any Campanile event. The Campanile cannot guarantee that yearbooks will be available after Commencement.

A great time to do this is at our Senior Sendoff event on Thursday, February 9th, 2012. Graduates can pick up their yearbooks, sign up for senior shipping, and have their senior portrait taken free of charge.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail (yearbook@rice.edu) or telephone (713- 348-6097). You will receive a response within one business day.

Thank you for supporting the 2012 Campanile!
